After our post recently about the horse racing schedule in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, this week we’ve got all the information on the UK schedule. We’ve got the top eight festivals & links for you to buy your tickets here:
First up we have the Sandown Spring Celebration on the 25th and 26th April. To grab tickets view thejockeyclub.co.uk .
The next big event is the Epsom Derby at Epsom Down Racecourse in Surrey. This event occurs on June 6th and 7th and attracts over 100,000 each year. Tickets can be purchased from the Epsom Downs Racecourse website.
Closely following the Epsom Derby is Royal Ascot. A huge event and particularly fashionable one, it runs from June 17th-21st at Ascot in Berkshire. Tickets are still available and can be purchased from the Royal Ascot website.
Around the same time as Ascot is the BoyleSports Summer Festival of Racing at Down Royal Racecourse which is a another top tier horse race here in NI. Their two day event is Friday June 20th and Saturday 21st which is Ladies Day! Here’s where you can buy your tickets: Down Royal Tickets.
Next we have our only Welsh race and that is the Chepstow National Hunt Festival. This event occurs in October in Monmouthshire, Wales. It is one of the first major hunt festivals of the season and tickets can be purchased on the Chepstow Racecourse website.
We then have a home race, the Down Royal Festival. The Champions Chase is in November and tickets can be purchased here: Down Royal Tickets.
We then have some Christmas events for you including The Christmas Meeting at Cheltenham which is on the 12th–13th December 2025 at Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucestershire. You can sign up to hear about ticket sales here: Cheltenham Christmas Meeting
